Hi, I’m Katie...

In February of 2014, I was lost. I’d just graduated from college, had next to know idea what I wanted to do with my life, and I’d moved to a city that I had never even visited in order to live with a friend that I hadn’t seen in nearly two years. One afternoon, after a long day at work, an acquaintance asked if I’d like to join her in a yoga class. I’d done yoga a handful of times and, though it had never really “stuck,” my instinct was to give it another shot. After 75 sweaty minutes of looking around frantically, making sure I was doing the poses “right,” I emerged into the brisk winter air a changed woman.

I quickly decided that I would become a teacher. My desire was to share with others this practice that had already been so transformative for me. So in 2016, I attended my first 200hr training at Rishikesh Yog Peeth in Rishikesh, India. I started teaching almost immediately after obtaining my certificate and have since completed my 300hr training with Angie Follensebee-Hall of Brownsville, VT, and undergone further training in Anatomy, Physiology, Yin Yoga, Core Strength Vinyasa, and Trauma-Informed Yoga. I completed a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling through Southern New Hampshire University in April, 2023. I am currently accepting new clients in-person and via telehealth at HAWK & hummingbird in Providence, RI under the supervision of Natalie Monaghan.
