Happy belated September, everyone…
If last summer was an exercise in learning to be with yourself, be in nature, and enjoy the slowness of silence - this past summer was just the opposite. Lots of friends and family, lots of travel, lots of rushing around and feeling scattered. But pretty early on I decided to just lean into it and trust that I would somehow get all of my school work done along the way.
And now it’s September. My favorite month not just because I was born in it, but also because of the way the crispness starts to set into the morning air in northern New England, the way the sun rays feel a little more golden and a little less scorching, the anticipation of fall foliage. Another thing I love about September is that it inherently creates space to settle back into a routine after the summer, which often feels chaotic to me.
(My fellow Virgos understand.)
Something I’ve noticed as I’ve been trying to expand my yoga teachings in the last 8 months has been that, when running your own business while you’re a full-time graduate student, things can happen much more slowly than you may have initially imagined. I have lots of ideas and very little time to put them into action and this phenomenon is only compounded in the busy summer months.
While I continue to let these ideas percolate and perhaps come to autumnal fruition, I’d like to start offering free recordings of past classes on my website - I hope to add a new one every week!
I’ve created a brief video below showing how to access these offerings.
As always, stay tuned for more coming soon(ish)!
