The last few weeks have been busy for me. Grad school finals, post-vaccine-trip planning, a couple of important decisions to make, and the beginning of the REFRESH & RESET program.
For those of you that have been following along, you’ll know that REFRESH & RESET is a program geared toward helping participants to establish/reestablish a sustainable, healthy routine. After our orientation call last Sunday, in the midst of helping others to start the process of building their routine, I managed to fall out of my own and completely forgot to send out my weekly newsletter.
As I reflected on what to do, I was reminded of something my dear friend and meditation teacher, Prerna Bhatia, once told me:
“It’s okay to miss your meditation practice for a day, but just try not to miss it for two days.”
So, when I realized I’d completely forgotten to send out a newsletter, instead of scrambling to get one together, I decided to let it be and just make sure to send one the following week.
And here we are. Newsletter sent (check!).
If nothing else, try to remember to be patient and gentle with yourself this week. The world does not end when we forget to send newsletters or answer emails or do the dishes or pick up the dry cleaning.
We got this.
